License Overview
Last updated: 13 June 2026
MyDocMaker is free for non-commercial use and available for purchase for commercial use. Here's what that means in plain terms.
Non-commercial use — free
MyDocMaker is licensed under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0 for non-commercial use. This means it is free for:
- personal use;
- charitable and non-profit use;
- educational use;
- research use;
- government use.
Under this license you may use, copy and share the Software for those purposes, subject to the full terms of the PolyForm Noncommercial License.
Commercial use — paid license
If you use MyDocMaker in connection with commercial, for-profit activity, you need a commercial license. Our plans:
- Commercial — $50 / year per user. Commercial-use rights for one named user across their devices.
- Enterprise — $1,000 / year per organization. Commercial-use rights for unlimited users within a single organization.
See the pricing page for what each plan includes, or email licensing@mydocmaker.com to get set up.
What a commercial license grants
- the right to use MyDocMaker for commercial, for-profit purposes;
- use for the number of users covered by your plan;
- the right to receive updates during your license term;
- support as described in your plan.
What it does not grant
- the right to resell, sublicense or redistribute the Software as your own product;
- the right to remove proprietary notices or branding;
- ownership of the Software or its intellectual property.
Not sure which applies to you?
As a rule of thumb: if you or your organization make money and you use MyDocMaker as part of that work, you need a commercial license. If you’re unsure, email licensing@mydocmaker.com and we’ll help you choose.
